NEDA Region IV-A staff served as resource persons on the capability building on technical writing, preparation of Local Development Investment Program (LDIP) and post-evaluation for Quezon. The training was conducted on 27-30 September at Ouan’s Worth Farm and Resort, Lucena City.
The training was attended by the planning officers from the province, city and municipalities and some budget officers. About 57 participants (42 from 30 municipalities of Quezon and 15 from the PPDO) attended the training.
The training aimed to capacitate the target participants and improve working relationship among the planning coordinators in the Province of Quezon.
The training on technical writing covered a review of basic grammar, and lecture and exercises on writing resolutions, letters, memoranda and other meeting documents.
The LDIP module is based on the Guidelines on Provincial/Local Planning and Expenditure Management: Investment Programming and Revenue Generation, Volume 3, published in 2007 by NEDA and the Asian Development Bank.
Lastly, the post-evaluation training included an overview on post-evaluation, presentation of post-evaluation studies, and lecture on performance evaluation and translating post-evaluation results into an action plan.
