The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region IV-A and Local Government Units (LGU) of Calabarzon have harmonized the planned implementation of proposed infrastructure projects with the LGUs’ development plans. This was done through a coordination meeting on June 07, 2018 at the Fersal Hotel, Quezon City and was participated by the Regional Development Council (RDC) – Sectoral Committee Infrastructure Development (SCID) Chairperson Ladislao Andal, DPWH Region IV-A, officials of the District Engineering Offices (DEOs) of DPWH, Provinces of Laguna and Quezon and 12 cities. The meeting was also in time for the investment programming and budgeting exercises for CY 2020 to 2022. The meeting resulted in the review of 115 high impact projects of Calabarzon which will be subjected to further validation.

The meeting was an instruction from the RDC Executive Committee of Calabarzon during its 2nd quarter meeting. The RDC Execom tasked the DPWH Region IV-A to convene its DEOs, concerned LGUs and SCID to review the DPWH proposed projects for 2020-2022 implementation.
