The RDC Calabarzon conducted an orientation on the updating of the Regional Development Investment Program (RDIP) 2017 to 2022 on July 3 at Juliet Function Hall, Hotel Marciano, Real, Calamba City. The main objectives of the orientation are: to inform agency regional offices, states universities and colleges and local government units in the region on the RDIP Updating Guidelines; and call for project proposals. The activity includes presentation of the guidelines, session on filling-out of the RDIP Form and presentation of workshop outputs of selected agencies.

The Orientation discussed the RDIP Updating Guidelines, RDIP Updating Process and RDIP Form. The activity also served as a venue for the agencies to clarify concerns on preparing project proposals and using the RDIP Form. The Form contains continuing and proposed programs and projects for 2017 to 2022. RDC Vice Chairperson Luis G. Banua and NEDA Region IV-A staff commented on the investment program of selected agencies.

AROs, SUCs and LGUs were requested to submit their updated agency investment program 2017 to 2022 to the RDC Secretariat not later than July 10 for validation and consolidation into an updated RDIP 2017 to 2022. The updated RDIP will serve as basis for the annual RDC Budget Review of agency budget proposals.
