The National Economic and Development Authority Region IV-A conducted a validation workshop on March 27 in preparation of the 2018 Regional Development Report (RDR). The RDR provides an annual assessment of the region’s socioeconomic performance vis-à-vis the development goals of the Calabarzon Regional Development Plan (RDP) 2017-2022. The RDR highlights the performance of key sectors based on accomplishments on the indicators and targets in the Results Matrices (RM).

A total of 75 representatives from national government agencies, regional line agencies and local government units attended the 2018 RDR Validation Workshop held at the NEDA Calabarzon Office, Barangay Milagrosa, Calamba City. The workshop focused on the completion and validation of data on agency accomplishments, and discussion of challenges encountered in achieving development targets. The workshop also provided a venue to identify priority programs and projects, and recommended strategies to improve the performance on lagging or declining sectors.
