The CALABARZON Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) endorsed the winners of the 2020 Search for Outstanding Local Project Monitoring Committees (SOLPMC) to the RDC AdHoc Committee on Awards during its fourth-quarter meeting on November 5 via videoconference. The Search Evaluation Committee was able to complete the assessment of the shortlisted LPMCs despite the COVID 19 health restrictions.

The outstanding LPMCs are the Provinces of Quezon  and Batangas, San Pablo City and Municipality of  Carmona, Cavite. These LPMCs  had effectively organized, participated in trainings, submitted reports and conducted desk and field monitoring activities.

The SOLPMC is an annual activity of the RPMC which aims to motivate, strengthen and sustain the LPMCs in monitoring and evaluation at the local levels. Out of the 148 LGUs, 11 LGUs joined the 2020 SOLPMC. The LPMCs were evaluated based on their performance in 2019 at their respective levels though the Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System. The 2020 SOLPMC started in February and completed in October due to the restrictions brought by COVID-19 Pandemic.

NEDA Region IV-A chaired the Search Evaluation Committee with DILG, NEDA, DBM, OP-PMS and two RDC private sector representatives as members. The 2020 SOLPMC Awardees will be recognized during the fourth quarter meeting of the CALABARZON RDC on December 10.
