The Private Sector Representatives (PSRs) of the CALABARZON Regional Development Council (RDC) is calling for cash assistance or in-kind donations for the victims affected by Typhoons Quinta, Rolly and Ulysses in the Region.
Due to the onslaught of these strong typhoons, the PSRs are pushing for more assistance to be given to the victims. They agreed to bring this up during the 4th Quarter 2020 RDC Full Council Meeting on December 10. While their respective organizations are always helping people in emergency situations, they believe it will be better if the RDC will be united in this activity.
The call for a unified response from the RDC was initiated by RDC Co-Chairperson Ladislao Andal and was unanimously supported by his fellow PSRs. In order to help the typhoon victims during this COVID-19 pandemic, it was suggested that the collected cash be transferred online to organizations that are currently helping the typhoon victims while donations in- kind be sent to the organization of PSR Emerson B. Atanacio as they have been conducting relief operations since the Taal Volcano eruption in January.
The offer for help was discussed by the PSRs during their 4th Quarter 2020 PSRs Coordination Meeting last November 19 via video conference.
