The CALABARZON Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) conducted a problem-solving session (PSS) for the Lobo-Malabrigo-Laiya-San Juan Road Project on April 22 through Zoom video conference to facilitate the project’s right-of-way (ROW) acquisition.
The Lobo-Malabrigo-San Juan-Laiya Road Project involves the construction of a 23-kilometer road connecting the Municipalities of Lobo and San Juan in Batangas under the DOT-DPWH Convergence Program. The project once completed will promote tourism in the region.
The DPWH Region IV-A and the Municipal Governments of Lobo and San Juan in Batangas agreed to work together to resolve the RROW issues through better project coordination. The RPMC also recommended for DPWH Region IV-A to prepare an implementation plan for the immediate completion of the project including the proposed funding for the un-opened road sections, and provision of land-related documents to the LGUs for ROW negotiation and acquisition. To closely monitor its implementation, the project will form part of the regular agenda of the succeeding RPMC meetings until its completion.
