The CALABARZON Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) conducted an orientation on the enhanced guidelines for the Search for Outstanding Local Project Monitoring Committees on May 26 via Zoom video conference. A total of 326 participants from the provinces, cities, and municipalities in the Region joined the half-day activity, which also served as venue to address the LPMCs’ questions on the Search.
The Search is an annual activity of the RPMC which started in 2017. It aims to motivate, strengthen and sustain the Local Project Monitoring Committees (LPMCs) on the monitoring of various development programs and projects at the local levels. It also evaluates the status and functionality of the LPMCs, and their readiness to undertake monitoring of devolved projects.
The orientation was conducted to inform the LPMCs on the enhanced guidelines, encourage more participation and provide pointers on the preparation of documentary requirements for the Search. The enhanced guidelines include revisions in the scoring per criteria, and premium points on digitalization of M&E system, problem-solving session and functionality of LPMCs.
The awarding of Outstanding LPMCs at the provincial, city and municipal levels is being conducted every 2nd quarter meeting of the Regional Development Council.
