CALABARZON BP2 Committee members and representatives from national government agencies and local government units during the BP2 Program Orientation on June 23, 2022 via Zoom video conference.

The CALABARZON Balik Probinsya Bagong Pag-asa (BP2) Committee conducted an orientation on the BP2 program and preparation of the BP2 Regional Report on June 23, 2022 via Zoom video conference. Assistant Regional Director Susana S. Santiago of NEDA Region IV-A said that the activity aims to orient stakeholders on their roles and responsibilities on reporting their BP2 programs and projects.

Ms. Kathrin Tayao and Ms. Kimberly Ann Tiburcio of the National Housing Authority – Management Services group presented the roles of national government agencies and local government units (LGUs) in the BP2 Program, as provided in Executive Order No. 114, s. 2020 and its Implementing Guidelines. Among the roles of LGUs identified are providing assistance to beneficiaries in various phases of the program, assisting in the advocacy and information dissemination on the program’s benefits to their constituents, and overseeing the program implementation within their respective areas of jurisdiction. Meanwhile, Mr. Richard P. Engasa of NEDA Region IV-A shared the monitoring mechanism for ongoing BP2 programs and projects in CALABARZON.

In behalf of Dir. Ariel O. Iglesia, Mr. Gilberto Tumamac of DILG Region IV-A encouraged all participants to understand their respective roles towards achieving the goals and objectives of the program. He enjoined everyone to work together to address issues in the program’s implementation.

The activity was attended by CALABARZON BP2 Committee members, national government agencies, and LGUs implementing BP2 programs and projects.
