Trophy of Excellence for EEE Awards for Government 2021

The Department of Energy (DOE) lauded NEDA CALABARZON for its remarkable performance in implementing energy efficiency and conservation on its facilities and efforts of being an epitome of excellence in the Government Energy Management Program – a part of DOE’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program.

A site visit was conducted by DOE personnel to the office on May 13, 2022 to personally hand over the Energy Efficiency Excellence Awards Trophy of the office.

The greatest impact of NEDA CALABARZON probably lies on the achievement of saving more than 23,600 kilowatt hours for the year in review. As compared to the baseline year, the office was able to reduce close to 30% of its annual electricity consumption, that just might be the biggest contribution in the program.

Despite the challenges during the pandemic, the office further improved its existing plans and policies to continually implement its energy efficiency and conservation measures. NEDA CALABARZON envisions to be on the edge of being the paradigm of the region and other government offices.

At the end of the day, energy conservation has slowly evolved to become a way of life for the personnel of NEDA CALABARZON, by way of the employees’ commitment and engagement to the office policies and procedures. And these contributions, no matter how small, all add up to the realization of its advocacy towards the efficient and economical use of resources, and the employment of best practices in pursuit of energy conservation.
