Participants of the 1st Consultation Workshop held November 2, 2022 via Zoom video conference.

NEDA CALABARZON conducted the 1st Consultation Workshop to solicit inputs and comments in formulating the CALABARZON Regional Development Plan (RDP) 2023-2028 on November 2, 2022 via Zoom video conference. A total of 235 regional stakeholders from government agencies, local government units, the private sector, civil society organizations, and academe participated in the activity.

In his opening message, Dir. Luis G. Banua of NEDA Region IV-A emphasized the importance of consultation in the planning process to ensure the plan’s responsiveness to the Region’s needs and encourage a strong sense of ownership and accountability from stakeholders to work for the common development goal.

The activity consists of a plenary and a breakout session. During the plenary session, NEDA CALABARZON presented the overall strategy framework, which is anchored on the 8-point socioeconomic agenda of the current administration, to guide the crafting of the RDP and its chapters. The participants, grouped into several clusters during the breakout session, provided inputs to the initial sector assessment, strategy framework, core indicators, priority strategies, and legislative agenda of the different chapters of the RDP.

The second consultation workshop will be conducted on November 29 to refine the chapters’ strategy frameworks, priority strategies, and success indicators.
